It also does a lot of shipping to Germany and Italy, as well as to the United States.<\/div>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Spain\u2019s main export<\/strong> is cars making it second only to Germany in global rankings. Their <a href=\"https:\/\/barcelona-logistica.es\/en\/automotive\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>automotive<\/strong><\/span><\/a> parts and accessories are the 6th highest used in the world. Spanish passenger cars sold to the USA total over 36 million.<\/div>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cars are produced in different cities covering Barcelona, Martorell, Figueruelas, and Vigo. Nine out of ten cars manufactured here are exported to over 130 countries. Several car models are produced from these plants including Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Ford.<\/div>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Refined petroleum started to be exported in the 1980s with over 10 million tonnes shipped annually. Oil refinery capacities in Spain can contain 1,000 barrels daily, and some of the refined petrol products also include lubricants, kerosene, and fuel and gas oils.<\/div>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pharmaceutical companies in Spain have always been high on the list of exporters. In 2018 Spain shipped medicine and drugs globally to the tune of 7 million pounds worth, with increased revenue being noted in the following years. GSK is a pharmaceutical company with 3.8% of the market share, with other companies such as Bayer and Johnson and Johnson being competitive market players.<\/div>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Two commodities where Spain excels at exporting are citrus and olive oil. The annual citrus market is dominated by the country with a share of 27%. The Spanish meat sector <strong>exported 2.27 million tons of meat and processed products<\/strong> to markets all over the world, and that figure continues to grow. To sustain energy consumption Spain has to purchase around 18 million pounds to obtain 46% of the liquid fuel required.<\/div>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Spain has been shipping steel for centuries and continues to be the <strong>14th largest steel importer in the world<\/strong>. Many industries within the country rely on steel, such as car manufacturing and weapon building trades, resulting in the importation of huge amounts to meet the demands.<\/div>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Clothing and textile imports continue to see continuous growth \u2013 Spain is now the <strong>6th largest importer of textiles in the world<\/strong> with items being shipped from China, Portugal, Turkey, and Bangladesh for example. These marketplaces are perfect for import as they have extremely versatile trading zones.
